Sunny Day
On Thursday, we were blessed with a beautiful sunny day that was supposed to be 70 degrees. So I put Allie down for a nap and Sadie and I headed out to the deck with some books and a blanket so we could lay out in the sun and read. After about 20 minutes we discovered it was really warm. So Sadie ditched her long sleeves and jeans for shorts and a t-shirt. After about another 20 minutes Allie woke up and we decided it really felt like summertime and we really needed a pool. Unfortunately we don't have one, so the trusty duck was the next best thing. Allie loved the duck and kept running up and hugging it and if you squeeze the beak it will quack. I think she ran the batteries down.

A rebuttal
This is a funny rebuttal to Elder Ballard's talk.

Shout Out
I just wanted to take a moment to give a shout out to the man I love. Todd has been putting in 16-17 hour days preparing for his finals. He leaves about 6:15 in the morning and then returns around 11:00pm. Which means that he doesn't get to see his children during the week. But this morning, after spending the night on our couch, he stayed home to take care of our children so that I could sleep and try to recover from the flu that I caught last night. I told him that he should just spend the next few nights at one of his friend's house so that he could get more sleep and wouldn't catch this flu that the girls and I had, but he insisted that he would rather come home to me. I don't think I could have married a more unselfish man, which is good for me since I am always too selfish. We love you sweetheart!

The Crayola Factory
This week for our playgroup we wen to the Crayola Factory. So if you were like me, you would assume this is actually a factory where the crayons are made. It is actually a big tourist trap where they charge you an over-priced admission to let you play with a bunch of Crayola products. On the third level of the Crayola "factory" was a canal museum (which was probably the coolest part, where they had a little canal built and everyone got their own boat to guide along the canal. They taught you how to make the water rise and fall by opening the little doors.

Sadie's first Ponytail
I thought I would take a picture to commemorate this great event. This was the first day that Sadie's hair was long enough to fit into a ponytail.

Flights
In case anyone was itching to come out for a visit, Southwest is running some great promotions such as Denver to Phili for $99 one way and Dallas to Phili $99 one way and SLC to phili $99. The trick I discovered is took book the tickets separately (Denver to Phili and then book Phili to Denver). Here is the link: http://www.southwest.com/hotfares/
