Our fun night

So here is an update on Allie. We first let her cry on Friday night. We were so tired that Todd and I only remotely remember hearing Allie wake up once, but it could have been more. Saturday night I was more rested and she woke up 2 and cried for about 30min each time. Now we get to last night...
We went to bed at 12:00. Todd decides he can't sleep and takes his pillow downstairs. So he ended up sleeping on the couch all night. Then Sadie wakes up crying. I go in there to console her and she lays back down. So i go back to my bed. Just as I lay down, she starts screaming again (which of course wakes up Allie) So here is my conversation:
Me: Sadie why are you screaming?
Sadie: I don't want to go to bed!
Me: But Mommy, Daddy, and Allie are sleeping. What are you going to do?
Sadie: I want Halloween
Me: Sadie that isn't for a few more days now lay down and go to sleep
Sadie: I don't want to sleep
Me: Okay when the sun wakes up come and get mommy and i'll get you some Cindererella Cereal (hey it was $.30 after coupon so I splurged)
SADIE: Okay
So I go back to bed. Just as I'm laying down she starts screaming again. So I climbed into bed and slept the rest of the night with her.
So Todd slept on the couch. I slept with Sadie in the guest room (we moved her there until Allie sleeps better) and Allie slept through the night except for the few minutes when Sadie woke her up.

The Joys of Being a Mother

Well, after a discussion last week Todd and I decided it is time to wean Allie off the milk wagon (aka ME) I weighed myself fully clothed and with wet hair right after breakfast and the scale said 89 lbs. I am afraid Allie is taking all my nutrition. The hard part is she is still waking up every 2 hours to eat at night and I really don't want to have to make bottles in the night. Any suggestions? I would try just letting her cry herself back to sleep, but then it keeps Todd up and he isn't a very happy camper. My goal was to feed her till her year birthday so at least I got close!

Allie Walking

I forgot again that I can't turn the camera. Sorry. But anyway this is Allie walking at 10 months and 2 weeks old. She got so excited when she saw that camera that she wasn't cooperating very well. She got a lot better as the night went on. She doesn't care that she keeps falling, she just gets right back up again. Her problem is she always wants to carry something with her.

Apples

What do you think? Go pro? I dipped it in Carmel and then white chocolate and then sprinkled with Heath bits and then drizzled with milk chocolate.

Callings?...What are those?

Well after 4.5 years of no callings Todd and I finally have our chance to serve. Many of you know that Todd's calling is the Secretary of the Young Men and Assistant Scout Leader. He went on a campout this weekend and today at church all the boy's moms kept coming up to me and saying what a great time the boys had and how much they all love Todd. I was quite proud. I guess he was quite in his element. He needed this weekend to have a little break.
Anyway, I just received my calling today. I told Todd I would accept anything but teaching the adult Sunday School class. Just my luck...I have to teach the 16 & 17 year olds. Even better is that right now it is a class of all boys! I was hoping for Sunbeams...they just color pictures.

On a side note: our community had a block party today. It was quite fun. They had a caterer provide the main dish and hired a DJ. We met lots of nice neighbors. Everyone seemed excited to meet "the new people from Idaho."

On Saturday was the relieg society super saturday and I learned how to make gourmet candy apples. I'll post a picture. I'm thinking of going professional and selling them. You'll have to tell me what you think. I will run and get pictures....please hold...

The Night of my Final

As you know I had a final last Wednesday. As I discovered it was very hard to study with the two kids (aka The Little Monters). So when Wednesday came I was trying to study all day. Allie decided she wouldn't sleep and Sadie felt that if Allie wasn't taking a nap neither was she! By 5:00 they were both so cranky and whiney that Todd and I were about to lock them in their bedroom. So Todd did what he does best and put a movie on to entertain them while I made dinner and Todd studied...(that's right, I'm the one with the final that night and Todd was the one who got to study!) Anyway we looked over about 5 minutes into the movie and this was what we saw.

Allie just about face planted to the floor while dozing, but luckily I caught her mid fall.

Christmas List

This is Sadie's Christmas List. In case you can't understand it, she loves anything Cinderella. For instance at wal-mart there is a fleece blanket kit in the craft section that she really wanted with the three princesses on it. Since I am killing myself trying to quilt her a quilt I am not doing a fleece blanket.

Teeth and baby steps.

I just looked in Allie's mouth and ALL 4 top teeth are about to come through! No wonder she's not sleeping well. 4 teeth at once...i guess that is what happens when they get their teeth so late.
Yesterday Allie took 3 steps all by herself and then later took 2 steps. She was so excited. Now everytime she stands up she claps her hands like she's done something amazing.

(regularly around $3.29) We can also order Crest White strips Supreme for $20.00 per kit. (regularly $39.00). Just leave me a comment with your order.

Curly Sue

I decided that Sadie's hair is curlier naturally than with the sponge curlers. On that second picture,I asked Sadie to smile and look cute...and she posed like that. She's sassy!

The beginning of fall

Giggles

Allie thought Sadie was so silly that she was giggling really hard. I didn't think start the camera until the end.
