Having fun at the Pool

This is what we do on a daily basis. We will really miss having a pool in our "backyard". Only 3 more weeks left!! The countdown has begun. Todd and I have never been so excited about the summer ending as we are this year.

Fun at the Beach

We took a small family vacation to the beach this last weekend. We drove to Wilmington and found a beach where you can drive right up to the shore and back the car in, which was so nice not to have to haul all the stuff to the beach and when Allie got tired I could lay her down in the car out of the sun. Here are some of our pictures.

So Tired

Saturday I was running errands getting things ready to go to the beach. I had a weak moment in Wal-mart and decided to buy Sadie this Cinderella Ball. When we got home I went in and put Allie in her bed and by the time I walked back out Sadie was out cold on the couch (which never happens) with a death grip on the ball! You can't see it, but her arms are wrapped around it.

My Copy Cat

Obviously Sadie is way more observant than I ever thought. If you can't guess what she is doing here...She has her bunny in her shirt like a baby carrier. I had put Allie in the baby backpack thing a couple of days before and it took me a minute to figure out what she was doing. Now everytime I turn around she has her bunny stuffed down her shirt.

Whoops!

All those other moms out there, I don't know if this has ever happened to you: Today I was feeding Sadie yogurt. I was on the floor sitting next to Allie and Sadie was running around and coming for a bite of yogurt (we have to turn it into a game for her to eat). Without even realizing what I was doing, I fed a spoonful of yogurt to Allie! (who thoroughly enjoyed it) Hope it didn't do any harm. I just saw an open mouth and took the opportunity.

Playing in the Rain

Today we were playing in the courtyard and all of a sudden we got hit by rain. We decided to let the kids run around in the rain for a little while. Here is Sadie soaking wet.

House updates

Here are some more pictures of our house. We are lucky to have such a nice salesperson who takes weekly pictures of the progress on the house. They will begin sheetrocking next week. If this house is not finished in time, someone will be in big trouble! I am not moving one more time!

Here is our corner pantry. This was Todd's creation. Honestly, who builds a kitchen without a pantry? So Todd redesigned the kitchen by adding this pantry and a bunch more cabinets. Who needs an "eat in kitchen" and a dining room? Heck, this will be the first table we will own!

Wake Up Allie!

Sadie discovered the many uses of her stool. The best most aggrivating use is to climb into Allie's bed and wake her up! One day Sadie was awfully quiet for a few minutes. I had heard her stool and just assumed she was going potty. But she had carried it into my room and climbed into Allie's bed and woke her up. It has now become quite the ritual. I think I am going to either lock my door or buy child proof door things.

However, Allie thinks her sister is so entertaining that she just giggles the whole time, so I can't be too mad.

Just as a side note. I came to a sad realization today....The portable crib has now been used longer than my real crib!. Why did I spend all that money on it?

I Wanna Be Just Like Mom!

Normally after our shower Sadie will lay in my bed until I am dressed and ready to dress her. However, yesterday she brings me her towel and says "Want my towel like moms!"

Early for Church?

We were actually ready 10 min BEFORE we had to leave for church so we decided to take a picture to commemorate the event. It's so much fun dressing them alike!

So this is as close as Allie gets. She pushes up on the tips of her toes. So you can't tell put she is off the ground in this picture. So, not quite as advanced as Andrew, but at least it's progress!
