New Developments

Okay, Sadie has only peed once in her pull-up at night. All the other times she has woken up dry. Two nights ago I was awoken at 5:00am by Sadie an inch from my face saying she needed to go potty. I was so proud of her! Now normally she is wakes up aroud 7:30. This morning she woke up at 7:00 screaming from her bed that she needed to go potty, so we quickly run to the bathroom. By some miracle she actually went back to bed until 8:15 and all four of us were squished in the bed. But I am happy to know that if she ever does need to go at night that she will wake up...I don't think I'm ready to take the pull-up off though.

So, if this doesn't show Sadie's personality, I don't know what would. I told her to sit on the grass by the flowers so we could take some pictures. She stomps over there and sits down and I said 'smile' and this is the pose she gives me.Sadie can't get the hang of smelling flowers. Instead of sniffing, she blows out through her nose.I'm lucky that Allie laid on her stomach long enough to take these pictures. She HATES her stomach.This is Allie's glamour shot.

Swimming

We got all ready and walked out the door to the pool and there were people all over drinking and smoking so I got the idea to fill up the duck and let the girls swim on the patio. Sadie hadn't seen the duck since Des Moines and she still remembered how to make it quack! P.S. That is Allie's true eye color!

The New Addition to our Family

Todd finally let me buy the stroller for my birthday/Mother's Day present. And thank you mom & dad. Sadie asked if she could take her nap in it today. Somehow she knows that it is a jogging stroller, because while we take our walks she says "Faster Mommy Faster!"

Say Hello to our Little Friend

Sadie and I went outside to wave to goodbye to Daddy and on our way in we finally saw the spider that has built a gigantic spider web right by our door. He's really big and GREEN and his legs are red. I think that means it's poisoness, right?! Welcome to the south! If you thought the spiders were bad at home, you definately don't want to live here! This was the 3rd spider today. The second was a HUGE wolf-like looking spider, which I found under a baby blanket in Sadie's room! Todd said our vacuum is going to have a whole food chain living in it.

So, I decided to take pictures of the view from our balcony. Well, since we're on the first floor I guess it isn't a balcony. But as you can see the pool is right out our front door...and everything else is trees.

The Art of Potty Training

I believe that there is no art to potty training. The truth is, no child will be potty trained unless they are good and ready! After my first attempt Todd and I thought it might be better just to keep our kids in diapers for the rest of their lives. However, this second attempt has proved worthwhile and after only 3 days we accomplished the impossible. We have now had 3 nights and 2 days of no accidents! This has been the worst part of motherhood. Someone should develop a training school of sorts. If you want to train your dog, you send him to obedience school. The same should apply for potty training. I'm not sure I have the energy to train anymore kids. Thank goodness I have 2 years to rest before Allie is ready!

Let's Go Swimming

Sadie was so excited for her new Dora swimsuit. As you can see it is too big! She loves her purse and we can't go anywhere without it...Even to the pool!!
