Pool Time

So here is our pool. We fill it in the morning and by 3:00 it is warm as bath water. The girls love it because they can splash all they want. It is also attracts caterpillars!

Stop to Smell the Flowers

So with all the beautiful weather we have had lately, the girls and I have been going on walks through the neighborhood every night. However, Sadie has started the bad habit of picking EVERY flower (dandelions) that we see along the way. And because Sadie does it, then Allie must also do it. Our neighborhood is now free of all dandelions!

The Shirt

So here is the matching shirt with the skirt. I'm still trying to figure out the shirts and how to make them better. But since this is my first one, I think it's okay. (if you can't tell, it's supposed to be a butterfly.)

Herr's Chip Factory

Last week the girls and I went with some of the other dental students and toured a potato chip factory. It was neat to see how it all works.

Twirly Skirts

So here are some pictures of the skirts I have been sewing. I love these skirts and so do the girls! Now I just have to finish the shirts to match.

Celebration dinner

We decided to start a new tradition. At the end of every school year, we are going to go out to a fancy restaurant to celebrate with whoever wants to go with us. This year we went to Ruth's Chris Steakhouse. We had so much fun! It was the best steak I have ever had and the sweet potato casserole was amazing!

New York

So last weekend I decided to surprise Todd. Now this trip was really to celebrate our 5th anniversary which isn't until June, but Todd is selling again this summer and never takes any time off so I did it early before the summer started. We left early Friday morning and drove the 2 hours to New York. We walked all around Time Square and Central Park and then we rode the Subway to do some shopping on Canal Street. We ate dinner at Bubba Gumps. Then we headed to the Broadway district to see Mary Poppins. We spent the night in a hotel and then headed home Saturday morning. We had so much fun just being together without kids and work and school to interrupt us. Thank you to our wonderful friends, the Heid's, for watching the kids!
