Snow

Here are some pictures from the aftermath. They don't seem to do it justice. These were at 7 am the next morning. As I type this there is more snow falling...

My homeboy Jace

We were having fun the other day with photo booth. Then he started throwing out the gang signs..

Sadie's Birthday

Sadie had a Fancy Nancy birthday party this year. All the girls wore fancy clothes and we made fancy accessories.

Sadie doesn't like cake so she asked for fruit pizza, unfortunately I think the rest of the girls felt cheated that they didn't get cake. Luckily we made up for the lack of cake with parfaits (that's French for ice cream sundaes. Everything in French sounds fancy)

Sadie got make up as a present so she did her make up and Allie's and then we went out to Texas Roadhouse for dinner in our fancy clothes!

Macy's in the City

Before Christmas we went down to the city to Macy's with our friends the Sperrys. We saw the Dicken's Christmas Village and their light show.

Allie

Allie celebrated her 4th birthday on Dec 5th. We (I) decided not to have a birthday party this year so we invited the Roundy's over for some dinner and cake and opened presents. This was my first fondant cake complete with homemade fondant!

Halloween

Sadie and her friend Sydney at their school's Halloween parade.

For Halloween this year Sadie was a ballerina, Allie was Belle, and Jace was Darth Vader.

Todd didn't have time to carve the pumpkin this year, so I surprised him and carved the best pumpkin I could.

Todd and I also decided to dress up last minute so Todd was a church softball player and I wore a poodle skirt. I know what you're thinking...we really get excited about dressing up every year and we should probably tone it down a bit. Yeah, i know!

Sadie

This post is strictly for journaling purposes. About 2 months ago we were on our way home from church and this was our conversation:
Sadie: Mom, what's most important to you?
Me: Umm, my family?
Sadie: nope
Me: Heavenly Father?
Sadie: nope
Me: Sadie just tell me!
Sadie: Your testimony
Me: Yep you are right
Sadie: Mom, I want to pray to Heavenly Father to know this church is real and I want to feel the Holy Ghost.
Me: (Wait a second how old is my child?)
Sadie: Mom, will you help me pray right now?
Me: Well Sadie we should probably wait until we get home and then we will pray as a family.

So that night we knelt down and Sadie asked as only a child could for everything she wanted to know. She asked of the church was real, if Joseph got the plates out of the mountain, and if she could please feel the Holy Ghost. She sat there for a couple of minutes and she finally said Mom I think I just felt the Holy Ghost because I have tears in my eyes and I feel really good inside.
