Project Completed

Here is the completed dresser after many hours of sanding and staining.

Camping

Last weekend to celebrate the end of finals we went camping for 2 nights at a state park 20 minutes from our house with a bunch of other students. After our last horrible camping experience I told Todd that I would never share a two man tent with the four of us again. However, since the basement is being finished and everything is squashed into one corner, our larger tent was on the very bottom in the very back and completely unaccessible. So yes, all four of us slept in a 2 man tent on a queen mattress that took up the entire floor of the tent. This time was a littl bit smoother and both kids went to bed both nights without a fight. Saturday night Todd and I were in charge of cooking dinner. However, Todd had to spend the day at school assisting with some of the 4th year students and didn't return in time to help me make dinner for 20 people! After a quick call to Todd's mom for the potato recipe everything came out great!

Catch Up

You know it's bad when you hook up the camera to the computer and there are 265 pictures to transfer! Here is a BRIEF view of the last 2 months:



Sadie went to a birthday party where she was supposed to come dressed as her favorite princess.



This was the biggest Nor'easter in years, which was pretty pathetic when you compare it to Rexburg!


This was Todd's amazing Valentine's present he made for me this year. Yep he made it! He explained the process, but he used a bunch of technical terms I didn't understand. I'm not sure how he is going to top this for next year!



My parents came a couple weeks ago and I wanted so have a project to work on. These dresses make me laugh everytime I see them. I haven't decided if I am going to let them wear the dresses in public. But these make the best twirling dresses.




As you can see, Sadie doesn't think they are as funny as I do. (she actually loves the dress, but was having a bad day)



Todd's current project is to finish the basement. The projected finish date is supposed to be around Christmas. He works on it in is free time, which is nonexistent right now.



This is my current project. I bought this off Craigslist for $35. I spent the whole day yesterday sanding it down. Now I just have to wait for it to stop raining to stain it.

Due Date

For all those wondering, this baby is due August 25. I am 14 weeks pregnant. I'm not sure how accurate this is since it was such a crazy surprise. I realize that this does ruin a bunch of summer plans. We are thinking of now going to Idaho in June, but we don't know Todd's summer school schedule so we can't make any concrete plans till we get it (sorry Talya!) I love being pregnant with older kids. Sadie has informed me that the baby is making tummy big, which is slightly frustrating since I am only 14 weeks and never showed before 20 weeks with either of the two previous.
