The girls and I had a fun day of playing in our little pool with friends. Afterward, we came in and all fell asleep on the couch. Lucky for me, Todd caught the moment on camera. He doesn't think of taking pictures when I look cute....just when I'm sleeping with my mouth open. At least I wasn't drooling, which is more than I can say for Allie.
We went camping this weekend with some friends to celebrate Easter. We drove about 2.5 hours to Ricketts Glenn State Park.
This was Jace the entire evening. He broke out in a crazy rash all over his head and luckily Lauren brought Benedryl so we drugged him up and he crashed the rest of the night. I froze all night and so did Allie. She climbed into bed with us thinking I could keep her warm. Todd didn't appreciate being shoved up against the edge of the tent from Allie and I trying to get close to him for warmth.
The next morning, we were in charge of breakfast. We made strawberry and cream stuffed french toast and Mountain Man Dutch Oven breakfast. It was fabulous!
I bet you didn't know that the Easter Bunny delivers to campsites!

After lunch we packed everything up and went on a hike. Even though there were warning signs describing the hike as "trecherous" we all decided to go and see the waterfalls, which were all along this 4 mile hike. I forgot to bring our baby backpack so I fashioned my own sling out of my sweater and carried Jace halfway and then switched with Todd the 2nd half. But I ended up carrying Allie the last mile or 2. Sadie was a champion hiker and did the entire hike by herself!
Since I don't seem to remember to take pictures of Jace and many family members don't know what he looks like...Here are some pictures. Jace is 6 months old. He hasn't gained any weight in 2 months so he still weighs 15 lbs. but he is 27 inches long.

A couple of weeks ago Sadie and I had a discussion about commandments and that lying is a commandment. I had told her that we have to repent if we break commandments. Yesterday I asked Sadie to pick up a few of her toys. Within a few seconds she was back in the room and I asked her if she had put everything in the correct place, which she assured me she had. Later I was in the bathroom and found all the toys stuffed behind our pedestal sink so I sent her to her bedroom. After a few minutes she came downstairs and I asked her what she needed to do to fix her mistake (expecting her to apologize to me for lying to me). She answered, "Mom, I already said a prayer to Heavenly Father and told him sorry for breaking his commandments!" (With an attitude that said Duh mom! Don't treat me like a child!)
