Current Project

I decided to make Allie a quilt for her bed so that she doesn't look like the poor forgotten 2nd child who only gets hand-me-downs. I am making the quilt that is second from the right. However, I need some opinions. I have all of the sashing sewn, but I don't really like the hot pink. So I am contemplating just starting over and buying new fabric to redo all of the sashing with a lighter, more pastel pink. Let me know your vote!

The Fire Station

Our neighbor is a volunteer fire fighter for our local fire station, so I thought it would be fun to get a tour for our play group. We had a great turn out and the kids loved being able to get in the fire trucks.




Allie was so shy that she wanted me to hold her the entire time. So she didn't participate much.

So this is the one and only belly picture I have ever taken during all three pregnancies.

My Birthday

Todd was nice enough to take most of the day off of school so we had ice cream cake and then went out to Lancaster county and drove around all the back roads looking for some Amish furniture. We are really in need of a bookshelf. After stopping at 10 different places we finally found a nice Amish man with exactly what we wanted. Since we bought it unfinished we will post pictures later of the before and after. Then we completed the night with my birthday meal at the Shady Maple.

White Coat Ceremony

Yesterday afternoon the school held a White Coat Ceremony for Todd's class. They now have the title of student doctor and can now work on real patients! They had a nice program and then a reception afterwards. Then a group of us went out for our 2nd annual end of the year dinner.
