My Birthday

Todd was nice enough to take most of the day off of school so we had ice cream cake and then went out to Lancaster county and drove around all the back roads looking for some Amish furniture. We are really in need of a bookshelf. After stopping at 10 different places we finally found a nice Amish man with exactly what we wanted. Since we bought it unfinished we will post pictures later of the before and after. Then we completed the night with my birthday meal at the Shady Maple.

White Coat Ceremony

Yesterday afternoon the school held a White Coat Ceremony for Todd's class. They now have the title of student doctor and can now work on real patients! They had a nice program and then a reception afterwards. Then a group of us went out for our 2nd annual end of the year dinner.

Can I count this as a belly picture?? (Insert evil laugh here)

Allie's special do for the occasion

The Beach

Two weeks ago we were having such great weather and we realized that Todd's classes had been cancelled so we all decided to go to Atlantic City on a Monday and play on the beach. Unfortunately warm weather doesn't mean warm water! It was freezing! But that didn't stop Allie from barreling in.

Bike Riding

So Santa gave Sadie this bike for Christmas and the first time she could ride is was a couple of weeks ago. Here she is making Todd go up and down the hill pushing her.

Project Completed

Here is the completed dresser after many hours of sanding and staining.

Camping

Last weekend to celebrate the end of finals we went camping for 2 nights at a state park 20 minutes from our house with a bunch of other students. After our last horrible camping experience I told Todd that I would never share a two man tent with the four of us again. However, since the basement is being finished and everything is squashed into one corner, our larger tent was on the very bottom in the very back and completely unaccessible. So yes, all four of us slept in a 2 man tent on a queen mattress that took up the entire floor of the tent. This time was a littl bit smoother and both kids went to bed both nights without a fight. Saturday night Todd and I were in charge of cooking dinner. However, Todd had to spend the day at school assisting with some of the 4th year students and didn't return in time to help me make dinner for 20 people! After a quick call to Todd's mom for the potato recipe everything came out great!

Happy Easter

Reading the new books from Grandma while waiting for their hair to dry.

So here are pictures of one of my lastest sewing projects. It has become a tradition to sew the girls new Easter dresses each year.
Todd asked what I am going to do for our boys.....Any suggestions?

I asked them to make a funny face.
