Christmas

Since we packed a camera that had a dead battery, we were unable to take very many pictures. So these pictures have been copied off of various people's blogs.
We have decided that we are not going home for Christmas next year. Sadie promptly caught a 24 hour flu bug on Christmas Eve. Allie caught it on Christmas day and so did one of their cousins. The day after Christmas Todd, Me, his brother Jason and his wife Ivy all caught the bug. Todd's poor parents were left to care for all of us and the kids while we were sick. So here is an open invitation to whoever wants to spend Christmas with us next year.

Our Snowman

Sadie and I went outside to shovel the sidewalk and we decided to build a snowman.  This was my first attempt at a snowman.  We don't have very much snow, but we did the best we could.

Reunited at Last

We received "bunny" in the mail.  The Ebay lady even gift wrapped it for us.  

Accomplishment

On my list of things to do before I die was to piece together a quilt the good old fashioned way.  I also wanted to do it all by myself.  So I decided that with Sadie's new bed she should have a new quilt.  She would have chosen Cinderella, but I couldn't find any cotton Cinderella print.  So this matches her room and I will post complete pictures of the room later.

We thought we had brought bunny with us in the car, but when we got out, she was nowhere to be found. I must have dropped her on our way out of the house. I have been searching ebay all night and found 1 bunny. Replacement cost: $35! During my search I also found a replacement of Sadie's bunny but they were charging $50 (not including shipping) so we decided we could live without it. We just have our fingers crossed the Allies bunny get here ASAP before we leave for our flight. Otherwise that will be one REALLY long plane trip. Those people on ebay really know how to take advantage of desperate parents!
